The heart of a leader
I went for the 2nd last lesson of Better Life Series 2008 - Developing the Leader within you. This is the best I have attended so far...
Talks about the development the qualities that set a leader apart from others. Apart from the skills that we have, the most important is the character. The lecturer used the Iceberg as an eg.
This is what he says.... The iceberg represent your leadership. The 10% above the water is your skill. the 90% below the water is your character. It's what below the surface that sank the ship.
In other words, our character flaws might be the downfall of our life, career, ministry if we dun change.
The sum of character:
-self discipline => ability to do what's right even when you dun feel like it.
-Core values => principle you live by that enable you to make a moral stand
-Sense of Identity =>healthy realistic self image based on who God made you to be.
-Emotional security
-Your relationship & attitude - you become what you think about all day
What struck me most is core values. To me integrity, honesty, principle are very important to a leader. To me a leader, need not be perfect, but he or she must have integrity, truthful to the people below him or her, ability to acknowledge his or her mistake when one is made. It takes alot of courage to admit that you have made a mistake, but we are after all human. I also believe in sharing information, experience to people who wants to hear. I dun believe in holding all responsibilities to self but share, so that everyone around will learn and grow.
I always believe that sincerity, truthful are the basics even for relationship... If anyone who are not sincere you will feel it, when one is not open people will know, but when one found a true friend, he or she can be open, share and trust that the person will protect him or her and love him or she as him or her self.
I pray that everyone will find a true friend like this!!!
Oh ya before I forget, leaders also need to have accountable partners to help eaach other over their weakness and grow stronger and be a good leader!!!

Happy Birthday - Hanxiao & Jinzheng
Today we celebrated Hanxiao & Jinzheng's bday. Attached the bday wishes they have made, we will all see it come to pass and this video is the evidence:

Super n Hyper weekend
Easter services were xiong but frutiful. Served till very High!!!! Everybody can see it!!!! hahaha
Saturday went out with CG for dinner after the second service, got to know Yijing, Huang, Shen Shen...all 18-19 years old, VJC students. They were very cute and friendly, talked to them for a while, tell them lame jokes. Have a enjoyable time with them oso with David, Michelle, Mabel, Xueling, Matt and Vonny. I seldom join them for fellowship after service, cos usually I have meeting or things to do. I missed out alot of CG activities and i dun like it. So CG gals n guys, I will try to join you guys as much as possible ok???
Especially on Sunday, cos would not really sleep on the previous night (slept for 2-3 hours only)... as a result those who know me... i will not becoming whinny but i will go crazy..... Started since morning in Chinese church, became very tickerlish... what ever pp say i will just break into laughter...all thank to BT!!! His craps!!!
The all 3 services in JW were very good, they were all very lifted up and the presence of GOd just flow, especially dialect service, could see the elderly responses and they were singing and dancing. All hard work is worthwhile. Come to think of it Sunday is the day Jesus resurrected ma, so should celebrate. ;)
After service, went movie with BT, Da and Shan, the few of us long time never watch a show together le. we watched "The Orphange". Those who knows me I dun like to watch horror shows and I have bad reputation for watching horror shows. They will be scared by me rather than the show. Anyway, Da and Shan refused to sit with me, cos they scared to be scared by me...only BT willing or should i say he has no choice...haha.=P
The movie turned out to be quite nice, for once... i enjoyed the movie though i was scared... Did scream at the right time!!! There was this gal in front of us, dun know what happened suddenly scream at the wrong time and everybody blurred.
After movie, went for a drink at Starbuck... finally feel stone... energy level dropped to red light...

Digital Camera
Finally, I bought a digital camera for myself as an advance birhtday gift for myself.
Needed one to do some work.

PS:Uncle Tham, you no need to ask for pledges for the camera le, but you can starting asking for the car fund. To make things easier for you, I can do with a Suzuki Swift. hahaha!!! Shan dun forget the video hor!!!

F.I.R
Manage to take 2 pix with F.I.R on Sun. All thanks to Justin's cam phone and Belle shooting skill.
Actually, wasn't supposed to be in JW on Sun, but last min I offered to takeover JY for dialect as she had some urgent things to handle. So managed to meet Faye n Ah Qing face to face in the Artist room and take photos with them. Was abit shy at first but later dun care liao. =P JY thanks for giving me the chance ya!!! Hee
All tried to squeeze into the pix with Ah Qing and Faye!!!

The more I translate songs for dialect, I find that the more I need to know hokkien and cantonese more, otherwise the songs will always be the same few words. This is a challenge to me, cos I'm not good at both of the dialects. I can't speak the dialects that well. God, Please increase my language ability.

JOB
I need to find a job that is flexible in timing and yet have good income!!! Mr Moshi suggested to me to be either a taxi driver or insurance... Thx lei...
What I want in the coming job:
1) flexible hours - best those that allow me to work based on total hours per week that i need to fulfill kind (Eg. 25hours) or 2-6pm on certain days due to classes, then when no class i can work full day kind. 5 days week.
2) pays well
3) Able to communicate with people
4) involved in company business planning, to grow with company. I dun want to be just an employee, I want to be part of the company growth.
5) Must be legal one la!!! No need to go for entertainment kind cos I simply dun have time at night!!!
I dun think I asking too much right??? So if any one of you have such lobang please let me know.

STUDIES
Just went to check my ACCA course 2 days ago (since they have revamp the system again). I need to do 2 papers instead of 3 papers before I clear the 2nd stage. wee!!!muahaha. Thank God!!! can save money.
Time to "sou sheng yang xing le", need to start studying again. Decided to take one paper first as a warm up for me.
Need to do:
Pack my room - can sleep in messy room, but cannot study in messy environment.
Buy Staionery - must prepare all my stationery.(No staionery how to study!)
Renew my membership in Spore n UK - No renewal no exam
Register for exam for paper F7 - Financial Reporting. dun register; wat exam i talk about
Revision kit - to prepare for exam.
self study - Need to discipline myself. (Study kakis we can start meeting again - see we chiong but we also study)=p
Revision class in May - to see wat needs to be updated and TIPS!!!!
