  • Queenie in the house
Queenie have stayed with me for 1 week le...My parents are beginning to accept her, esp my mom, she even show Queenie off to the neighbours... yipee!!!

She is well received by my colleagues too.Hahaha...

She has attracted a few customers to stop by my workplace... my colleagues and I joked that she can be the "招财狗"

There are times she will be naughty too...like peeing and shiting at the wrong places and I will have to beat her backside and scold her and she knows. After that she will come near me and "sha jiao".

There are times she is very sleepy..slept whole day still can sleep

There are times she will be super active and will run all over the places.

In any case, I thank God for her!!!

    SURRENDERED TRUST
Received this many months ago from a CG friend didnt open my email till now....

Many times many of us tend to rush or try to plan for God....

We all will have to learn to surrender our life and trust God who is in control...

    By Reuben & Sarah Morgan

How beautiful is the thought of lives surrendered to God. A picture of arms wide open and an "I'll do anything Lord" attitude that spends time inquiring after God. Haste and insecurity however, stand on the flip side of this picture and we find ourselves in a state of worry and confusion, rushing on again without waiting on the Lord, perhaps we find His ways "too slow". Whilst not giving up on God entirely, we seem to, all too often, take matters into our own hands, asking God to instead "bless these plans I have made".

Learning to trust God with my life on which I've written, Surrendered to You Lord is a life long lesson of learning and learning again. In the 'valley of decision', from the working out of call, to a season of change and seeking new direction, the challenge is making these vital decisions from a position of Trusting God. C.S. Lewis said "Good and evil both increase at compound interest. That is why the little decisions you and I make every day are of such infinite importance".

As the book of Ephesians tells us, God is and has been for a long time, at work in the earth and you and I are privileged enough to be a part of what He is already doing! Like soil is to a potentially sprouting seed, surrender and trust must partner together, surrendered to God and trusting Him to lead us on every step of life's journey!

In I Samuel 9-10, we see God's intervening hand at work in the life of Saul. For Saul, trusting God essential. God worked within the boundaries of Saul's movements in order that His plan to make him king would be outworked. Saul needed God to show him (1) he really was meant to be king and (2) he was capable of the task at hand. In the form of Samuel's predictions, God promised Saul three signs (chapter 10); that he could put the past behind him (v2), an assurance that the Israelites would recognize him as king (vv. 3-4) and an assurance that he had the necessary gifts and abilities for this task of leadership. The fulfilment of these signs gave Saul full confidence to act as king, because God would clearly be with him, having already equipped him with the Spirit of the Lord God.

Sometimes I seek God and pray and ask Him to show me what He wants. Sometimes I pray for a sign and sometimes I feel that I should simply be in tune with God's Holy Spirit and knowingly walk out His will. God does not intend for confusion to surround His will. Even King Saul in the Old Testament required God to confirm that which He was asking him to do and then he still needed God's encouragement that he could do it!

What would happen in our lives if when in times of decision, we chose to concern ourselves with obedience that comes through relationship with God and knowing His word rather than striving to reveal for God His "perfect and divine will"? What would happen if instead of fretting, we chose to trust God even when heaven may appear silent and take a step forward into what looks to be the way ahead. Do you believe that our God is able to direct or even redirect your steps?

In the book of James and in chapter 1, James encourages the church to live lives that are shaped out of God's Word. The Message reads "So throw all spoiled virtue and cancerous evil in the garbage. In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation garden of your life." It goes on to say "But whoever catches a glimpse of the revealed counsel of God (the free life!) even out of the corner of his eye, and sticks with it, is not a distracted scatterbrain but a man or woman of action. That person will find delight and affirmation in the action." (Jas 1:25)

After praying all night, Jesus, in Luke 6:12-16, chose twelve disciples and designated the apostles. We learn from Jesus' example that after committing our circumstances to the Lord and waiting on Him, there will come a time when you and I are faced with the need to make decisions. George Moore said "The difficulty in life is the choice". Fulton J Sheen said "Nature gives man corn but he must grind it; God gives man a will but he must make the right choices".

It is easier said than done to make a good decision. Let me share two things with you that I find helpful in my own life:

    1) Circumstances: Recognize that God is in control of your life and will use your experiences to direct you. Consider the circumstances surrounding before you make a final decision. Think about the practicalities including the spiritual elements, the financial, the emotional, social and the physical.

    2) Counsel: Take time to listen to what other respected Christians have to say. Proverbs tells us that "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisors they succeed" (Prov 15:22).

May we choose to wait on God and trust that He will lead us and guide us into His will for our lives - lives that are truly surrendered to what God would have for us: waiting, trusting, obeying and moving forward.
