Secret Place
This is the third song that I've translated and sang for dialect church. All thanks Dum Dum for his inspiration during one of the nights when we were chatting in MSN. We were talking about worship songs then he mentioned about he like this song, then I suddenly have inspiration and translated the song within one hour. Of course with the help of the chinese church lyrics and some amendments to fine tune. I present to you the dialect version of Secret Place:

Friendship
Today I shared about friendship during choir practice and I wanna put in the blog and hope that this will encourage those who reads my blog and they will find a true friend in their life. I have changed the content slightly so that it is more relevant.
Friendship

Friendship, as understood here, is a distinctively personal relationship that is grounded in a concern on the part of each friend for the welfare of the other, for the other's sake, and that involves some degree of intimacy. As such, friendship is undoubtedly central to our lives, in part because the special concern we have for our friends must have a place within a broader set of concerns, including moral concerns, and in part because our friends can help shape who we are as persons.
Prov 18: 24 A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
The message(Ver)Friends come and friends go,but a true friend sticks by you like family.
You know in our life we have many friends, but how do you know if a friend is true and will stick to you like a family. It is when you go through your difficult moments and they stand by you or when you did something that is not right and they are there to remind you and pulls you back to the right track.
A few things that I feel a true friend should be:
1) truthful to you
– telling u off with love.
-Able to let the person know certain things that u see might be a hinderance for the growth for the person etc.
-or even when you hear something about the person and you are able to check with him or her to find out the truth not to be kapos, but out of concern. U know kapo and concern is just a line different – concern is when u hear something about the person n u talk to the person directly but kapo is u turn to your another friend instead n ask “did u hear about this person…?"
2)Encourages you
-encourage you when you fail, or lose confidence or when you are down
-praise you when u do well
3)Respect you
-will not invade into your life more than you are comfortable with.
-give you personal space, does not stick to you like superglue.
4)Protects you
-will protect your reputation, you as a person
-will defend you if anyone speaks evil of you
-will not gossip or worse spread rumors about you
5) A listener
-many times we just need to let go of things that we are frustrated about, not advise. We all need to learn when to give advise when just to listen.
6) A "stirrer"
-I dun mean tt you will be competitive or create chaos.
-it means challenging you to grow, push you up to another level, help you to see things that you never thought of, so that we will not stay where we are, but will all grow. We will learn things from the people around you, if we allow them to do so.
I hope through this little message, you are blessed and will encourage you to get to know a friend more.
